About This Spot

Stepping into Joe’s La Roma Ristorante feels like crossing into a warm, familiar corner of Italy, tucked quietly on Fruitland’s bustling N Fruitland Blvd. The atmosphere hums with a gentle, inviting energy—part cozy neighborhood spot and part cherished gathering place—where the rhythm of conversation mingles softly with the clinking of glasses and the subtle sizzle from the kitchen. It's a place where time slows just enough to savor each moment without feeling rushed.

The walls come alive with scenes reminiscent of old New York Italian neighborhoods, setting a backdrop that’s both nostalgic and welcoming. The lighting casts a soft glow over tables filled with friends and families, each sharing stories over thoughtfully crafted plates that speak of tradition and care.

Here, meals unfold like a comforting melody, guided by the rich aroma of garlic, fresh herbs, and slowly simmered sauces. Whether it's the tender embrace of freshly made pasta, the crispy delight of fried calamari, or a hearty dish enlivened by house-made pesto dressings, every bite carries a genuine taste of home. Desserts, with their delicate balance of sweet and creamy, linger in the memory long after the last forkful is gone.

The pace at Joe’s invites you to settle in and truly engage—with your company, your food, and the subtle details of the dining experience. Attentive hosts welcome guests like old friends, and servers share the story behind each special with a quiet enthusiasm that deepens the connection to the meal. It’s a place where generosity is felt not only on the plate but in every corner of service and spirit.

A true gem! Nestled in small building on south 13 is an authentic Italian restaurant which is a symphony of flavors that transports your taste buds straight to the streets of Italy. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and iconic New York scenes set a stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a taste-bud explosion, offering a delectable array of handmade pasta, succulent seafood, and mouthwatering desserts. Each dish is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the finest, freshest ingredients, showcasing Chef Joe’s dedication to authenticity. The attentive waitress Debbie ( whose advice on the menu was impeccable) added a personal touch, ensuring a seamless and delightful dining adventure. This hidden gem is not just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Italian culinary artistry, leaving you with a lingering desire to return for another exquisite feast. Buonissimo! Ps you don’t need a reservation but it’s highly recommended!!!

Joe’s La Roma is a must-visit restaurant when in Salisbury, MD! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Chris, an amazing host and co-owner, you know you’re in a special place. The aromas, the murals, and the hospitality prepare you for an amazing evening! Adrienne was our incredible server and her description and knowledge of the menu and specials was outstanding! The portions were abundant and indescribably delicious. Our table enjoyed the the baked ziti, the manicotti, the seafood marinara, and the petite filet special! Simply amazing food! Paired it with a nice Chianti and finished with some cannolis , gelato and espressos. We can’t wait to go back to try other dishes on the menu!! I suggest making a reservation In order to get seated on a Friday or Saturday! You won’t regret it!

My husband and I visited this restaurant looking for authentic Italian food and this place delivered. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer. I had the eggplant rollantini as my meal and my husband had the special, Chicken Astoria. We couldn't decide which dessert to get and share, so we got the tiramisu and caramel mascarpone cheesecake. The tiramusu was amazing and the cheesecake is seriously the BEST I've ever had in my life!

Oh, where to start. We were greeted warmly, like family and service only got better from there. Our courses were served timely, on our pace, and not rushed. The pesto salad dressing is made in-house and the love and care shows. Entrees of Mahi-Mahi over wide pasta and a portobello ravioli with sweet Italian sausage. Amazing! La Roma's is on our 'must do' for visitors and we'll be back for more. Reservations are recommended.

Hands down, favorite date night spot! Even got to have the "Mamma Mia Monday Dish is Chef Joe Bellia's Seafood salad," so yummy!! The best Italian restaurant on the shore!

Wow! From the moment we arrived, the smell of the food cooking hit your nose as soon as we grabbed the door handle. Service was outstanding!!! We met Chris at the front door around 6:30 on a busy Saturday night. Since it was our first time dining there, we didn't know reservation was recommended. Chris kindly explained that they were very busy but took my number and suggested we grab an appetizer next door while we waited. Within 15 minutes, he called to let us know a table was ready by 7:15 the latest 7:30 as our table were finishing their entrees. Very friendly and accommodating! Our server, Debbie, was wonderful and very accommodating also, and Chris stayed busy clearing tables and helping guests. The service was a perfect 10/10, and the food was just as amazing—also a 10/10! We were so full we had to take our entrées home, but later that night I tried my salmon piccata, and it was absolutely delicious—a unique twist on the traditional chicken piccata. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to bring my parents next time! 3 stars for the atmosphere only because I wish it was a bigger place and our table was tight with limited space for 2 with what was ordered. You can tell that this place is a hidden gem and locals frequent! Salmon piccata, shrimp scampi, mozzarella sticks with the Italian flag sauce, house salad, added with crispy pancetta, blue cheese crumble and creamy pesto vinaigrette! FYI I would do without the pancetta next time as it was a tad bit salty.

We finally got the chance to try this place for dinner and it was absolutely awesome! We started with a crisp salad and stuffed cheese bread, then moved onto our incredible mains—my Chicken Parm, and his perfectly cooked Steak and Shrimp with savory vegetables! Last was the raspberry cheesecake that I had paired with a delicious moscato... oh my gosh, it was heaven! Naturally, a batch of cannolis had to come home with us. Cheers to making memories, and enjoying every delicious bite with my love! We can’t wait to go back again! PS: We had a waitress by the name of Natalie, she was PHENOMENAL- to say the least
